Reverse Back-up Cameras & Sensors
Collision avoidance systems are becoming a more popular addition to vehicles today. Backup cameras and backup sensors save millions of dollars in vehicle and property damage each year. And they are surprisingly affordable. Mobileworks/Tintworks offers a variety of options from simple dash mounted distance displays to backup cameras that integrate with your factory in-dash video display. The cost of these systems are easily recouped if they avoid even one fender bender.

Our backup camera systems can blend seamlessly into your vehicles exterior. “PlateCams” are very common mothods of hiding a backup camera. A Plate Camera is simply a license plate frame with a camera in the top center. The experts at Mobileworks/Tintworks will route the wire from the camera to its destination cleanly and out of sight.
In many cases, we can use the existing in-dash video screen as the display. Our technicians will hook it up so that the screen will display the feed from the Plate Camera whenever the vehicle is put in reverse. If you do not need a camera system, backup sensors are a more affordable solution. A series of sensors are installed professionally into your rear and/or front bumpers. They send out a radar signal and display the results on a dash mounted indicator. As you get closer to the obstruction, the indicator will let you know both visually and audibly. Makes parallel parking a snap and is very effective in vehicles without rear windows (box trucks, cargo vans, etc). |

Mobileye Advanced Driver Assistance System
How does Mobileye keep drivers safe?
To achieve the high standards we set for collision avoidance and driver safety, Mobileye uses a one-of-a-kind artificial vision sensor in three easy steps. Step 1. VIEW The sensor views the road ahead and identifies:
|
Step 2. GATHER
Gathering all of this information allows the system to continuously measure the distance and relative speed of your vehicle in relation to other vehicles and pedestrians, the location of the vehicle relative to the lane markings, and the speed of the vehicle. This consistent gathering of information is tracked and measured over and over again.
Step 3. DETERMINE
The system then determines if there is a potential danger and then warns the driver with visual and audible alerts.
The visual and audible alerts are uniquely positioned to address some of the main causes of collisions singled out by major automotive safety organizations. In fact, studies by the National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration, Department of Transportation, and the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute indicate that:

The visual and audible alerts are uniquely positioned to address some of the main causes of collisions singled out by major automotive safety organizations. In fact, studies by the National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration, Department of Transportation, and the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute indicate that:
- 93% of the accidents investigated in the study were due to human error, with driver inattention being the primary cause.
- Nearly 80% of crashes and 65% of near-crashes involved some form of driver inattention within three seconds before the event.
- 40% of rear-end collisions have no brake application whatsoever.
- 60% of road accident fatalities are due to unintentional lane departure.
The Mobileye Advanced Driver Assistance System analyzes the risk of forward collision, lane departure, headway/following time, excessive speed and pedestrian hazards. When a threat is detected, Mobileye warns the driver with visual and audible alerts – in real time – providing the critical seconds needed to possibly avoid, or mitigate, a collision.
The safety features included are:
The safety features included are:
- Forward Collision Warning
- Lane Departure Warning
- Headway/Following Time Monitoring & Warning
- Pedestrian & Cyclist Collision Warning
- Speed Limit Indicator
- Intelligent High Beam Control
Forward Collision Warning, including Urban Forward Collision Warning
Alerts drivers of an imminent rear-end collision with a car, truck, or motorcycle.
|
Headway Monitoring & Warning/Following Time
Helps drivers maintain a safe following distance from the vehicle ahead of them, providing visual and audible alerts if the distance becomes unsafe.
|
Lane Departure Warning
Monitors lane markings and alerts drivers with visual and audible warnings when a lane deviation occurs without proper signal notification.
|
Pedestrian & Cyclist Detection & Collision Warning
Notifies the driver of a pedestrian or cyclist in the danger zone, and alerts drivers of an imminent collision with a pedestrian or cyclist.
|
Speed Limit Indicator
The Speed Limit Indicator recognizes and reads speed limit signs, allowing the system to notify the driver if the vehicle exceeds the posted speed limit.
|
Intelligent High Beam Control
No need to worry about impairing another driver’s vision with high beam control that automatically turns on/off the high beams depending on the level of light and relative distance from other traffic.

- Automatically mute the car radio so that audible alerts are more pronounced.
- Incorporate haptic warnings that provide tactile alerts (e.g. a driver’s seat or steering wheel can be outfitted with a vibrator that is set to various strengths, frequencies, and patterns.)
- Instantly deactivate factory cruise control to ensure greater manual control over the vehicle — the ultimate/innovative Retrofit Enhancement Cruise Control (RECC) system of its kind.
- Add any function for a third-party device that has a discrete input.
- Analog integration with older vehicles that are not equipped with CAN or J-bus signals.

What Sets Mobileye Apart?
As an all-in-one Advanced Driver Assistance System to offer multiple alerts on a single platform, including forward collision, lane departure, and headway monitoring, Mobileye leads the way in streamlining and improving fleet safety measures.
Try Mobileye today to see for yourself the difference real-time warnings and bottom-line-conscious technologies can make.
Implementing Mobileye into your fleet is the easiest management decision you’ll ever make.
Additional Benefits
While Mobileye’s primary aim is safety, positive byproducts of fewer collisions and safer driving habits can be greater fuel efficiency, fewer repairs/new parts, and potential emission reductions.
Imagine
Two vehicles collide, cause a traffic jam, and leave many vehicles idling and emitting exhaust fumes. Ambulances and police vehicles arrive, creating more emissions. Both accident vehicles have damaged parts that require replacement.
Multiply this scenario by the 10+ million annual collisions estimated by the US Department of Commerce, and the far-reaching effects of automotive collisions become clear.
Integrate With Ease
The Mobileye Advanced Driver Assistance System seamlessly integrates into most fleet management and telematics systems. For enhanced analysis, aggregated data can be easily exported to a third-party telematics or fleet management systems, providing greater visibility of your fleet and insights into driver behavior. The true advantage of Mobileye, however, is that it’s a real-time solution, meaning it doesn’t require a manager to have to take the time to review historical data. All alerts are available via the Mobileye CAN channel for telematics and third-party integrators.

- Mobileye meets NHTSA’s guidelines for Forward Collision and Lane Departure Warnings*
- Mobileye is a highly advanced all-in-one collision avoidance system that gives drivers ample warning to take corrective action in real time.
- Mobileye can discern texture for visual readings, differentiating between signs, pedestrians, vehicles, and more, rather than just identifying solid objects.
- Mobileye is dedicated, undistracted, always alert, and never fatigued.
- Mobileye is affordable and cost-effective. ROI is typically 12 months or less with very little driver training necessary.
- One-time installation.
- No ongoing subscription fees.
- By producing better drivers with safer driving habits, Mobileye helps reduce collisions, subsequent insurance premiums, and fines for noncompliance — all of which improve CSA scores.
